Weeping Angel

The weeping angel,
Suffering animosity,
Collapsed to broken knees,
Unable yet to breath,
Shallow grasps for air
Feed unsated wails and weeps.
Empty completely, aching, unhealing.
Her heart is depleted. Her soul is defeated.

Those memories surface from the deep blue
Like giant whales that starve for pain,
That scream for it,
Like towers of guilt, like temples for shame
Rising, swallowing her gallons down those millions of leagues.
Under the churn of a blackening sea
Covered in worms, unable to see
Eating skin and wings and nails and teeth.
Writhing. Undying.

Knowing she's so horrid inside,
Knowing she's so wretched, so vile.
Consumed by remorse
Behind her closed doors.
White Weeping Angel, the wolf only knows.
